Mark Hilliard assumed the presidency of the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce in January 2019, bringing deep roots in the community and an unwavering commitment to advancing the region's economic and social prosperity. A lifelong area resident who grew up in Homer City, Mark earned his degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2000, where he gained invaluable experience through participation in both the Disney College Program and the prestigious Miramax College Program. These formative experiences shaped not only his professional perspective but also his personal philosophy: "if you can dream it, you can do it"—a guiding principle he carries forward as Chamber president.
At the helm of the Chamber, Mark finds his greatest satisfaction in witnessing local businesses thrive and contributing to the region's growth and vitality. He recognizes that sustainable community prosperity begins with investing in the next generation. Throughout his tenure, Mark has championed high school and collegiate program development initiatives that prepare youth and young adults for the workforce while fostering genuine pride in the community. These programs exemplify his belief that economic growth and youth engagement go hand in hand.
Beyond his leadership roles, Mark is devoted to his family. He and his wife Mandy have built a life centered on creating lasting memories with their four sons—Isiah, Jeremiah, Eli, and Jonah. Whether in the office advancing Chamber initiatives or at home with his family, Mark embodies the values of connection, opportunity, and community that define his leadership.
A fun fact: Mark can recite the alphabet backward at a moment's notice—a party trick that never fails to impress!
